Artistic Philosophy
As a passionate storyteller, I design in creative and nontraditional ways. I take inspiration from my surroundings and research, finding beauty and meaning in unexpected places. I have found inspiration from something as simple as a marble slab to an impactful current event in our world. I set the stage to evoke the needed emotions when audiences walk into a theatre, especially by looking at an object or a scene. I set the stage to evoke the emotions required when audiences walk into a theatre. Theatre allows audiences to be encapsulated in a story, and with scenic design, I want them to feel like they are part of the story they witness. My goal is for audiences to walk away with a deeper connection to the story being told, leaving them with questions and new feelings that linger long after the performance ends.
